I enjoyed the process of buying our house and that was largely to do with Graham MacDonald. He was very good at all the practical things like returning calls promptly and he always had good banter, which made it fun, but what I appreciated most was that I always had the sense that he was being straight with me.

Ours was quite a tricky negotiation, because there was a competing buyer and he guided us through it and it laid the foundations for a great relationship with the vendor, which meant that the whole transaction went very smoothly. If I were to sell my new house, I would talk to Graham first.

Rachael Hodnett, in particular, went way beyond the call of duty organising and liaising between all the parties. Things were made tough as the vendor had a critical deadline to achieve. On top of that, we ourselves had a 6 week window in which to complete the purchase. So things were always going to be tight. Her dedication to seeing things through even extended to arranging a last minute structural survey over a weekend. Brilliant service.
