Supermarket Extension Granted Planning Permission at Wem, Shropshire

30 July 2012

Following Kemp & Kemp Property Consultants’ recent success in obtaining planning permission for a large retail extension to the Co-op’s existing supermarket in Chipping Norton, Kemp & Kemp Property Consultants is proud to have now also obtained consent for a 8,514 sq ft retail extension to the Mid-Counties Co-Operative’s store in Wem, Shropshire.

The extension will provide an improved, modernised retail store for the residents of Wem and enable the provision of a wider range of goods including luxury products and everyday essentials. Kemp & Kemp Property Consultants worked in close dialogue with Shropshire Council’s planning officers throughout.

Planner Tom Smailes said “Kemp & Kemp Property Consultants has continued to build on its long and established relationship working on behalf of the Mid Counties Co-Operative Society. The successful planning permission at Wem is one of many obtained by Kemp & Kemp on behalf of the Mid-Counties Co-Operative Society and I look forward to working on future projects.”
